Guided boat tours in Sørvágur

Authentic experiences in traditional boats

These boat tours are optimal for small groups and families who enjoy active travel. There are only up to 5 tickets sold to each tour. You sail in a traditional Faroese boat, the utmost of Faroese handicraft.
You meet us at the Sørvágur small boat marina. We bring floatations suits, boots and fishing gear, so all you need to bring is a camera!

Sailing out from the marina you sail towards the picturesque village Bøur. The turf roofed houses by the black sand beach spark the imagination. You hear stories about people’s way of life here, their history and culture.

Westwards you sail by wondrous landscapes. A dramatic geologic history is uncovered in the basalt cliff as you learn of an ancient volcano embedded in the rock.

Weather permitting you continue to the Múlafossur waterfall by Gásadalur. From the boat the waterfall and surrounding gorges and grottoes offer unique opportunities for photography.

You sail southwards towards the islet Tindhólmur and nearby sea stacks Drangarnir. Keep your eyes open to wildlife. Seabirds such as puffins, guillemot, gannets and fulmar nest in the area. Before heading back to the marina you get the opportunity to cast a fishing line.
