Í Beitinum

Í Beitinum is a very old house in Miðvágur. The venue is well kept in its originally state and is therefore very authentic and cosy.

Í Beitinum is the childhood home of famous hymnodist and writer Mikkjal Dánjalsson á Ryggi (1879-1956). No Faroese writer wrote so many psalms as him. Furthermore, Mikkjal á Ryggi was the first one to write local history. A statue of Mikkjal á Ryggi is placed right outside Beitinum.

Í Beitinum is also used as venue by the local Faroese Chain Dance association
