Dunnesdrangar

Dunnesdrangar are two sea stacks on the west side of Vágar island. Dunnesdrangar rise 70 meters out of the ocean. A well kept secret! 

To reach the sea stacks you walk from the village of Sørvágur along a 3 km. path across the moor before you reach the view point of the magnificent Dunnesdrangar. When approaching Dunnesdrangar the terrain will never exceed more than 200 meters above sea level.

Hiking in this area requires a local guide.

The Lakes

The lake Leitisvatn Sørvágsvatn Vatnið on Vágar island is the biggest lake in the Faroe Islands. The area Trælanípan also called Lake Above the Ocean. Nípan is at the end of the lake, where you will find the waterfall Bøsdalafossur.
