Living room concert with Bárður á Lakjuni at Marin Malena’s Tea House.

Music has always been a central part of Bárður á Lakjuni's life. His distinctive style blends vocals with flute, piano, organ and, in later years, acoustic guitar.

Bárður has been one of the key figures in shaping Faroese gospel music scene during the 21st century. Many will know him from the gospel groups Salt and T.O.S., as well as from the album he released together with his father, Jógvan á Lakjuni, in 2012. In 2020, he released his first solo album, Lívsins dansur ("The Dance of Life").

During this concert, Bárður will primarily perform his own original songs, while also sharing selected classics by Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash. His warm, intimate style is perfectly suited to the cosy surroundings of Marin Malena's Tea House at Biskupsstøð.

This is a seated living room concert with guests seated around tables. Each table accommodates four people, so if you wish to sit together, please book your tickets as one group.

Our charming kitchen will be open throughout the evening, serving light bites, carefully selected wines, and a variety of speciality teas.

Doors open at 8:00 pm, giving guests plenty of time to find their seats and enjoy refreshments before the music begins.
