The Faroese Symphony Orchestra and a large children's and youth choir and soloists

The largest orchestra in the Faroe Islands invites both children and adults to the fantastic Christmas and family concerts.
The symphony orchestra performs beautiful Faroese and foreign Christmas melodies.
There is usually strong demand for these family concerts, so this year, too, four concerts are scheduled – two on Saturday and two on Sunday.
The Christmas and Family Concert is arranged in collaboration with the Music School. Here, students have the opportunity to play together with the best musicians in the country.
Soloists  The soloists this year are Sólja Rye, who plays the violin, and Ásgerð Stenberg Olsen, who plays the flute. They will perform Méditation and Romance in D♭ by the French composers Jules Massenet and Camille Saint-Saëns, respectively.
Large children's and youth choir  The children's and youth choirs participating in the concert this year are Stella and the Youth Choir from Tórshavnar Musikkskúli, the Children's Choir of the Music School in Vágar and the Children's Choir of Nes Sóknar Musikkskúli.
The singers are between 9 and 16 years old, and they sing well-known Faroese Christmas carols.
The choir directors are Edith Dahl Jakobsen, Katrin á Borg Johannesen, Joanna Johansen, Ásbjørn Berthelsen and Sigrið Sivertsen.
