Discover Eystur Town Hall, where modern design meets Faroese tradition.

Designed by local architect Ósbjørn Jacobsen, Eystur Town Hall in Norðragøta serves not only as the municipal administration but also as an information center for visitors. The building symbolizes the connection between two municipalities with its sloped, moss-covered roof that doubles as a pedestrian path.

Jacobsen explains that the design reflects the Faroese architectural theme of blending nature with buildings. A unique feature is the glass floor in the council hall, offering views of the river below.
