Port of Honour
In the small harbour in the village center, you can find the Gate of Honor. This is the jaw from a 25 metre large whale.
In the small harbour in the village center, you can find the Gate of Honor. This is the jaw from a 25 metre large whale, that was erected by the seaside in 1907, when danish King Frederic VII visited. In 1975 it was moved to Hoygarðin, where it is today and has become an icon of the village.
