The white church in Skálavík 1891

The white church on Lógvheyggi was inaugurated in 1891. Inside the church there is hanging a very particular and precious gift. This was from the Kings farm on Trøðni. The farmer, Tróndur á Trøð was born 17th of november in 1846. He cutted all the twelwe Apostles and two big reliefpictures by himself- Samson and the lion, Bileam and the donkey- from the driftwood. No other church in the country has anything that is similar to theese.
