Tvøroyri
Tvøroyri is the largest municipality in Suðuroy
Tvøroyri, the largest municipality in Suðuroy, is situated near the large inlet of Trongisvágsfjørður and serves as the main port connecting the island to the other Faroe Islands. The village has a rich history, with its main settlement founded in 1836. Today, Tvøroyri features the Tvøroyrar Village and Maritime Museum, Gallarí Oyggin Gallery, and the culture house SALT. Visitors can take a scenic walk from Tvøroyri to the secluded Hvannhagi, known for its unique geological landscape and diverse flora and fauna.
