Vestanstevna

Vestanstevna is a regional village festival on Vágar that takes place every summer in the month of June. Usually 2 weeks before St. Olav´s Eve. 

The villages of Sandavágur, Miðvágur and Sørvágur take turns to be the hosts of the festival. There are various events on the programme, including rowing competition with Faroese boats, a small fun fair for the children, exhibitions, concerts and so on.
The local sports clubs on Vágar receive all the income from the events.
