Múlafossur the Waterfall in Gásadalur, Faroe Islands
Múlafossur is a must see for any visitor to the Faroe Islands!
One of the biggest tourist attraction on the Faroe Islands, and for good reason. The view on Gásadalur and Múlafossur is spectacular: the waterfall just falls off the island. A breathtaking panorama both towards the village and the close-by Mykines island.
The waterfall is only a 5 minutes walk from the picturesque village of Gásadalur with less than 20 inhabitants lies at the west part of Vágar. Most of the visitors stay above the waterfall or at a distance where they can see the village of Gásadalur as well as Múlafossur. When the weather gets windy, the flows up and around creating a view that is truly unique.
Please respect the environment around the waterfall. Do not drive on the turf.
