Onkustaðni er ein viðarlund

With Onkustaðni er ein viðarlund, Benjamin Rajani presents 10 new Faroese songs about being young in a society where individualisation, expectations and pressure play a major role. The songs revolve around identity, adversity, struggle, faith and the search for a path in life. Through intimate and poetic lyrics, Benjamin Rajani offers a personal and honest insight into what it means to search, doubt and find one’s footing.
At the concert, the new album will be performed in its entirety with a full band. In addition to the new material, the audience will also have the opportunity to hear some of the best-known songs from his debut album, Tá hvørt ljós líkist tær. The album received glowing reviews, including a 10-star review in Kvørnin on KVF, and was nominated for Release of the Year at FMA 2026.
It will be an evening of powerful Faroese songwriting, beautiful arrangements and an artist who has established himself as one of the prominent voices in contemporary Faroese music.
Lyon Hansen is opening for Benjamin.
Onkustaðni er ein viðarlund, Benjamin Rajani’s second album, will be released on 6 November 2026.
