The route takes you through all the villages on the island and begins in the picturesque village of Gásadalur and boasts views of the island of Mykines, the islet of Tindhólm, the beautiful village of Bøur, towards the village of Sørvágur, past Vagar Airport, along the lake, locally called Sørvágsvatn or Leitisvatn depending on which village you come from. Past the small village of Vatnsoyrar, and towards the village of Miðvágur and views to Trælanípa, Koltur and Trøllkonufingur to the finish line at the historic church of Sandavágur.

After the run participants gather for a light refreshments and meal.

You can also choose to walk the route and by doing so, support the Faroese Cancer Association. For every registration 100 DKK will be donated.

The run is organised by the local running club “Frælsi” and is held the first Saturday of September every year.
