Workshop with Visual Science Studio

How can art make complex scientific questions easier to understand? How can artists and scientists together bring new perspectives to the climate, time, and our relation to the world around us?
Visual Science Studio will share experiences and methods from their work at the intersection of art, research, and climate dissemination. Based on concrete projects, it will be shown how artistic processes can transfer abstract research results into physical experiences, narratives, and images.
The workshop focuses on the themes of climate, landscape, and time, and it investigates how art can help us relate to concepts far beyond our experience. Through presentation, dialogue, and shared reflections, it investigates how art can be a tool for communicating research and sparking new knowledge.
This event is for artists, scientists, students, and people who work with culture, and others interested in cross-sectoral collaboration. This is a great opportunity to meet other people with different fields of expertise, to share knowledge and perhaps to find new partnerships.
The workshop is free; however, you need to register. 
The workshop contributors Visual Science Studio is the artistic duo of Maja Friis and Sofie Mønster. Using exhibitions, films and audiovisual installations, their work creates new meetings between art, science, and climate change. Their projects have been exhibited at locations such as CPH:DOX, BLOOM, Klimafolkemødet and Aarhus Naturhistorisk Museum.
